Delete your FlightBrief account
Version 3.0 · Last updated 27 October 2026
You can delete your FlightBrief account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what we must keep. See also the Privacy Policy.
How to delete
In the iOS app
- Open FlightBrief and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete my account.
On the web
- Sign in at flightbrief.io.
- Go to Account.
- Under Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
By email (no app or login needed)
Send an email to hello@flightbrief.io from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you no longer have access to that address, tell us and we will verify your identity another way. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.
Cancel store subscriptions first
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. You will keep being charged by Apple or Google until you cancel it there:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings -> your name -> Subscriptions -> FlightBrief -> Cancel.
- Android: Google Play -> Profile -> Payments & subscriptions -> Subscriptions -> FlightBrief -> Cancel.
Web subscriptions (paid by card on flightbrief.io) are cancelled immediately when you delete your account. No further payments are taken, and the rest of the current period is not refunded.
What is deleted
Immediately when you delete your account:
- your account, email address and login;
- your profile (name, airline, fleet, preferences, plan);
- your briefings, verdicts, passenger cards and OFP data stored on our servers;
- your crew notes;
- your weather preferences, airline requests and feedback;
- briefings saved for offline use on the device you delete from;
- passenger cards saved in your web browser (when you delete from the web).
OFP photos are never stored by us after they have been read.
Passenger cards saved in a web browser are removed from that browser when you delete your account on the web. A plain sign-out does not remove them.
What is kept, and for how long
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Aircraft data you added to your fleet | Your colleagues still need it | Kept for the fleet without your name |
| Payment and invoice records | Danish Bookkeeping Act | 5 years from the end of the financial year |
| Records held by Apple, Google, Stripe and RevenueCat | Their own legal and accounting duties | Under their own policies |
| Proof of the Terms you accepted | To document the agreement in case of a legal claim | 3 years after deletion |
| Server logs | Security | Short period under our providers' terms |
| Backups | Disaster recovery | Until our database provider's backup cycle overwrites them |
| Passenger cards saved in the iOS app | Stored only on your device | Until you delete them in the app |
On iOS, passenger cards you save are kept in their own store on your device. They are not deleted when you sign out or delete your account; delete them in the app.
